This morning I awoke to sounds of a burglar trying to break into the house. I could hear him on the rooftop above my bedroom. I climbed the stairs to the second floor bathroom to peer out the window. The scratchings sounded louder. I bravely raised the blind and surprised the masked bandit. Another raccoon! We stared at each other face to face with only the glass of the window between our faces. Finally, I knocked on the window and yelled at him to move on. He didn't listen very well but sauntered on up to the roof top.
I am thinking, "Not again!" We trapped a total of five raccoons in our attic last year and paid a carpenter to repair all the siding and close all possible entries. The raccoons don't seem to care. They make their own entries.
