Zainy Day in Texas

Thought I would share a few paintings from my past as sort of a year end review. I am well beyond the time for painting any more artworks in this year. This is one I considered a breakthrough painting about four or five years ago. It was watercolor that allowed me to break through that particular block. When the background colors began to flow, it freed me. Although I have done more oils than watercolor over the last several years and have explored and improved my portrait work since, this was the piece that revived my passion for painting.

This painting is of my first grandson and remains in my personal collection.
