Garden Fountain

Sketchbook Art.

13021-sk. Garden Fountain.

Pen and ink sketch • Garden Fountain

This is a live sketch of the garden fountain given me last year in memory of Dad. He would have gotten a kick out of sitting on the patio watching and listening to the bubbling waters of the fountain. In order to level the ceramic pot and make the waters flow well, I placed a stone shim under one edge of the pot bottom and sandwiched it in between two flower pots. Life can be like that. Sometimes we need a shim of friends to hold us up until we find our balance.

As a child, I was reprimanded for daydreaming. Today my daydreams morph into paintings.
