Cardinal Mates. Life is a Great Adventure.

Cardinal Mates • oil on canvas 10 x 8 inches
copyright Vernita Bridges Hoyt 2017

Did you know Cardinals mate for life? Other bird species mating for life (until death do us part) include bald eagles, lovebirds, swans, scarlet macaws, whooping cranes, California condors, black vultures (who knew or even thought about it), Atlantic puffins, albatrosses, and turtle doves also known as mourning doves or rain doves. When feeling a little down in the dumps, remember Helen Keller who could neither see or hear yet  learned to communicate and go on to great things in life. If Helen Keller could bring herself out of the dark and learn to experience the light, so can we.
