Texas Landscape #2: Sunrise

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

One of my Facebook friends says this painting reminds her of sunset in the Sam Rayburn Forest or Davy Crockett National Forest, both in Texas. I love it when a person really connects with one of my paintings. That's what it's all about—painting :: viewer. This sunrise, sunset painting could be happening almost anywhere in Texas ... or elsewhere. Click on the image to view enlarged detail and description of this painting.

Speaking of sunrise, sunset, the days are growing longer again. I love it! Today is a minute shorter than tomorrow will be. The sun is waking up a teensy bit earlier each day all across Texas. (2)
