SHAKY LEGS colt, oil painting, HOYT

A colt takes his first walk alone but not too far from his mother.

This painting combines a couple of Texas references. The colt was inspired by a new foal, Shaman, at T-bar near Brenham and Washington on the Brazos. The background comes from a landscape on a ranch in Houston County, Texas.
