Boxer Work-in-Progress
20x16 inches
watercolor on Arches 300# hp paper
Monday I got back to the boxer commission. This work-in-progress is a large painting at 20x16 inches. The muse comes easily for smaller works, but there have been many distractions during the painting of this larger  commission.  The image above shows only a small portion of the painting. My muse says to finish this piece. I've tried locking myself in the studio, but Life keeps putting her foot in the studio door. This morning, I've slammed the door shut quickly, turned off the phones, and put the puppy down for a nap.
LIFE. My 13 year old grandson and his two dogs, a boxer and a chiweenie, have been visiting "MeMe" and Brooke and Thor for the last four days. They went home on Tuesday evening. We had a lot of fun together.

Togetherness—Ways to Have Fun with a Grandson!

  1. Eat snow cones after school.
  2. Bake a blueberry pie.
  3. Redecorate a boy's bedroom.
  4. Play video games.
  5. Make Sloppy Joes.
  6. Eat the blueberry pie!
  7. Teach the chiweenie to sit for a treat.
  8. Take the boxer pup to a training class.
  9. See an action movie.
  10. Teach the dogs how to swim (Grandson as teacher).
