The Fur of a Gray Cat is Full of Color

Over the Labor Day weekend, I completed the watercolor portrait of Harley Cat. Here is the final image along with an enlarged detail so you can see the many colors that make up the fur of a gray cat.

I love painting on the smooth surface of Arches hot press paper. I'm able to capture just the right balance of smooth wash vs spontaneous watercolor doing what watercolor does by nature, which is to flow.

This painting is expected to reach Harley's family on Wednesday, September 4.

It's been nice talking with you about art, but now it is time for me to get a little beauty sleep. Tomorrow is another full day.

Thanks for following my Texas Sauce Art Life.
