Texas Drought Brought Snakes

The drought has brought snakes to the backyard pool, a first ever in 35 years of calling this house my home. We have seen two now — one really small baby and a second one about 18 inches long.

Today I met with a yard service man who is going to cut lower limbs on bushes and clean out the underbrush and flower beds in the back garden. After I recover from that expense I'll think about doing some manicured landscaping. I do not like snakes — any of them.
