Art Helping Texas Wildlife

Deer Fawn © V. Bridges Hoyt 2012
oil on 12x12 inch gallery wrap canvas
Fundraiser Auction
I finished painting the little deer fawn, and the oil paint dried quickly. Brands of paint and medium used make so much difference in drying time. So does the method of paint application—thick or thin. I was able to deliver the painting to Jerry's Artarama before the deadline.

This oil painting will be auctioned at a fundraiser to benefit Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Date and location for the auction will be announced. Jerry's Artarama Houston has sponsored and collected many wildlife paintings from local artists. Click on either image to see a larger detail of my painting.

The sides of this gallery-wrap canvas have been painted with a continuation of the landscape behind the deer. Painting the sides allows this artwork to be displayed without a frame. See image below.

I hope this painting brings high auction bid(s) to benefit Texas Wildlife. Check with TWRC or Jerry's for more information about the art auction to be announced, or email:

My pastel version of this little fawn is still available through my Etsy shop
